The Wholesale Data Office team delivers trusted, reliable data which drives strategic decisions, enables business growth, and facilitates a strong risk discipline. We enable usage of common data that is complete, trusted, understood, and aligned with our financial reporting.

This position will be supporting our iHub service with the Business Data services team. iHub is an authorized provision point which standardizes common foundational data and distributes to downstream applications and reporting services.

This position will be primarily accountable for the pipeline & release mgmt and the business production support functions of iHub.

The candidate must be comfortable with ambiguity and leading in an evolving environment with undefined or immature policies, procedures, and organizational structures. You strive to create efficiencies and effectiveness through process improvements. You have the ability to reach consensus among people with competing priorities and influence the adoption of processes. In this role, you will need a strong data management background supporting datas stores. You should be able to consider impacts across environments and initiatives, anticipate tasks, issues, and challenges and proactively address them.

  • BAU
    • Manage a team of 9 business data analyst supporting the day to day operations of iHub.
    • Monitor and execute on daily and month end run books supporting our daily and monthly productions cycles.
    • Manage the BAU book of work
    • Review and monitor SLA’s
    • Coordinate with DQ team and other iHub workstreams to understand and remediate data issues
    • Support implementation of data model change
  • Pipeline Management
    • Manage a team of 3 analysts to support pipeline and release management functions
    • Coordinate and with iHub business leads and Technology partners to actively manage Pipeline of planned initiatives, new functionality, enhancements and defects
    • Ensure prioritization and scheduling of pipeline items
    • Conduct Pipeline review meetings with key stakeholders
  • Application Release Management:
    • Maintain Release and Iteration schedule
    • Provide heat map status reporting for release items
    • Track dependencies, risks and issues associated with iHub releases
    • Plan and monitor release capacity
    • Partner with Test Coordinator to develop and Test Plans and timelines
    • Produce detailed Release Notes
    • Maintain Release contingency plans
    • Manage Change Control process
    • Provide oversite and training to 50+ users of JIRA to enable high-level of confidence in the quality of the items tracking to releases
  • Content Management:
    • Provide oversite over content owners to ensure information is current and relevant. Type of content may include process diagrams, procedures, reference materials, forms, reports and roadmaps. Will oversee organization, quality, and alignment of content per policy and standards and communicate changes to the iHub team.

They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following, and adhering to and if applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling
  • 4+ years of management experience
Other Desired Qualifications

• Knowledge and understanding of Enterprise Project Methodology (EPM), processes and tools.
• Strong understanding of Enterprise release management standards, processes, artifacts and controls
• SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) experience
• Experience managing changes to a data distribution hub.
• Experience with supporting system changes in a complex multi-systems environment
• JIRA and Confluence proficiency is strongly desired
• Ability to execute in a fast paced, high demand, environment while balancing multiple priorities
• Ability to lead projects/initiatives with high risk and complexity
• Leadership and strong data management experience with ability to effectively manage different functional teams
• Knowledge and understanding of wholesale banking: products, platforms, policies, processes, and procedures
• Ability to work and influence successfully within a matrix environment and build effective business partnerships with all levels of team members
• Preferably experience with Oracle Financial Services Data Foundation(FSDF) implementation
• Ability to summarize complex data issues into executive level communications
• Knowledge and understanding of data governance challenges and approaches: metadata, data quality, and data stewardship
• Ability to execute in a fast paced, high demand, environment while balancing multiple priorities
• Proven pipeline management experience
• Experience with successfully monitoring and controlling the risk by using effective planning, communications, and status reporting
• Ability to identify in efficiencies and opportunities to improve the process
