SUMMARY

Genoa is a fast paced growing company with the anticipation to open 65-100 new locations in 2019. The IT Infrastructure department is looking for an individual that possesses the communication, project management, and people skills to assist in the efforts of delivering new ISP connectivity circuits and pharmacy IT hardware. The primary responsibility of this position will be to assist in the implementation processes surrounding new site implementations from a network connectivity, hardware acquisition and coordination of supporting vendors and manage the delivery of these services on time.  

The applicant must have strong communication, customer service, organizational skills and willing to learn in a fast paced environment. The application should be very assertive and work with minimal instruction and supervision. 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with Genoa Implementation Team to deliver new ISP circuits, facilitate hardware acquisition and coordination of supporting vendors to deliver these services on time.
  • Work with West IP to coordinate and the implementation of their network electronics and VoIP phones.
  • Coordinate location resources to facilitate implementation of the circuits and receipt of equipment.
  • Coordinate the deployment and resource scheduling for pharmacy go live dates.
  • Work closely with vendors to refine and develop processes to delivery connectivity on time.
  • Work with vendors and internal IT departments to help maintain an inventory of all applicable network electronics including but not limited to switches, routers, access points, firewalls, etc.
  • Assist in developing and improving procedures, standards, and best practices.

 

Responsibilities

Major Duties & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with Genoa Implementation Team to deliver new ISP circuits, facilitate hardware acquisition and coordination of supporting vendors to deliver these services on time.
  • Work with West IP to coordinate and manage the provisioning and deployment of ISP/MPLS circuits/connectivity for new site implementations.
  • Coordinate location resources to facilitate implementation of the circuits and receipt of equipment.
  • Coordinate the deployment and setup of the CradlePoint solutions when MPLS solutions cannot be delivered in time for BOP inspections.
  • Work closely with vendors to refine and develop processes to delivery these new circuits on time.
  • Monitor vendors for adherence to committed SLAs, notifying vendor management of SLA deficiencies and reporting these deficiencies to Genoa IT Management.
  • Work with vendors to understand service offerings in each market helping business managers to determine best available solution and cost options.
  • Document and maintain procedures and user guides as it relates to connectivity problem resolution, connectivity implementation processes and overall departmental processes where applicable.
  • Work with vendors and internal IT departments to help maintain an inventory of all applicable network electronics including but not limited to switches, routers, access points, firewalls, etc.
  • Stays up to date with IT technology issues, trends and developments and communicates back to management and departments both issues and opportunities and assists in developing and improving procedures, standards, and best practices.
  • Maintains open communication and positive working relationship with staff.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with business clients, IT management and staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Required Qualifications:

  • Excellent communications skills, strong interpersonal skills (written/verbal communication, peer relationships, etc.) in interactions such as customer support, requirements gathering, etc.
  • Prior IT implementation experience, preferably in the healthcare industry
  • Strong attention to detail and focus on task completion is critical
  • Ability to coordinate/participate on multiple projects at once
  • Must be able to work independently, multi-task and prioritize responsibilities leverage time management and problem solving skills in order to perform assigned tasks, with reasonable levels of self-direction.
  • Work in a professional manner to maintain/build customer relationships
  • Exceptional organization and time management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work with and support cross-functional project teams

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in CIS, business management or communications
  • 5+ years’ project management/coordination experience
  • Experience working for or directly with an ISP or telecom solution provider
  • Understanding of the technology, jargon and equipment associated to corporate networks.
  • Previous experience working in healthcare or other heavy compliance driven industry.
  • Military Experience
