Implementation Release Manager / Project Manager - Charleston, WV

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead or contribute to the development of program or project scope statements, in consultation with applicable stakeholders (e.g. program/project charter, Statement of Work, Business Vision Document)

  • Manage releases for large application implementation

  • Manage risks and resolves issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality

  • Measure and monitor progress to ensure application releases are delivered on time and within budget, and that they meet or exceed expectations

  • Coordinate release content and effort based on the service request backlog, pending service requests, third party applications, or operating system updates

  • Conduct Release Readiness reviews, Milestone Reviews, and Business Go/No-Go reviews

  • Produce Deployment, Run Books and Implementation Plans

  • Weekly Release Reporting

  • Communicate release details and schedules to the Business as required

  • Negotiate, plan and manage all release activities

  • Maintains the release schedule for all core services and ensure alignment across key partners and vendors

  • Lead and co-ordinate the Go-Live activities including the execution of the deployment Plans and checklists

This role will challenge your ability to work on complex projects where deadlines and scope shift frequently. You'll need flexibility, agility and the ability to adapt to change while maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders in a highly cross-matrixed environment.


Required Qualifications

  • Undergraduate Degree (Or 4+ years of additional project management experience in lieu of degree)
  • 4+ years of experience managing releases for large application implementation
  • 4+ years of project management experience using data and information to make business decisions
  • 4+ years of tracking and planning projects and documenting project specifications
  • Intermediate level proficiency  with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency with MS Project
  • PMP Certification
  • Healthcare industry experience
