Corporate Risk helps all Wells Fargo businesses identify and manage risk. We focus on three key risk areas: credit risk, operational risk, and market risk. Enterprise Information Security’s (EIS) vision is to provide Wells Fargo world leading cyber security risk management. Through a framework that addresses policy, process, operations, people, and technology, EIS protects Wells Fargo’s infrastructure, corporate data, and customer assets, and ensures alignment with applicable regulations and laws. EIS is part of Wells Fargo's Corporate Risk organization and is led by the Chief Information Security Officer.

The Enterprise Information Security Risk Management - Information Security Consultant (ISC) provides advanced information security consultation for all aspects of information security compliance policy, risk management, and remediation. This Consultant will assess Information Technology Security Risks as relates to Information Assets, to include performing IT Risk Assessments through discovery with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), writing and/or updating narrative, conducting risk analysis, recommending remediation options, and creating action plans for high risks. The Consultant will pro-actively inform and influence stakeholders on net new or on material changes to an asset to influence control decisions. They will also coordinate with vendor manager on 3rd party assets to manage information security risks.

The Information Security Consultant 5 provides senior consultative services to stakeholders on new, emerging, and/or most complex security issues and findings. May direct, mentor, or manage less experienced staff.

  • Conducts annual certifications for assigned Asset portfolio and reviews results to develop follow-up action plans.
  • Evaluates and interprets internal and Enterprise information security policies, processes, and standards, and may provide recommendations to improve them.
  • Performs Information Security Risk Assessments for new IT Assets.
  • Partners with Information Program Governance and business Operational Risk Management teams to support the Line of Business in identifying, assessing, mitigating, and managing risks.
  • Provides credible challenge as appropriate with supporting documentation.
  • May provide guidance, training, and mentoring to less experienced staff.

Preferred Locations: Charlotte, NC; Phoenix, AZ; Minneapolis, MN; and Des Moines, IA. Any domestic United States location within Wells Fargo’s footprint will be considered. Telecommuting will be considered.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of information technology security experience

  • Financial services industry experience
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), or Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC)
  • Wells Fargo risk platform experience

  • Experience with Information Security Risk Assessment (ISRA) process
  • Knowledge and understanding of artificial intelligence, augmented reality, biometrics, cloud-based services, encryption, internet-facing application architectures, and virtual reality
