Title IT Developer III Position Posting Location Buffalo Status Full Time Regular Hours As required Job Description In collaboration with other IT functions, ensures that HealthNow software applications are effectively designed, implemented, integrated and maintained in support of business goals and objectives. Additional responsibilities include problem resolution, defect resolution, unit/system testing and implementation of software releases. Performs in a technical project leadership role, as required. Primary Responsibility Collaboratively participates in business requirements gathering sessions and documents technical specifications that can be used by assigned application development staff. Codes, unit tests, readily resolves defects, and maintains and implements high quality program changes, applying IT development standards and practices. Effectively collaborates with Quality Assurance Testing and business staff to review application functionality and test results. Provides accurate and timely estimates for assigned work, and documentation for all completed work assignments. Leverages a detailed understanding of business processes and procedures to prepare accurate and comprehensive user-level documentation. Assists peers with detailed program analysis & design for assigned work. Responds to all assigned emergency maintenance situations and provide expert problem resolution knowledge to peers. Mentors and trains designated IT team resources. . Performs administrative duties such as status and time reporting and special assignments within scope of expected skills and experience. Coordinates SDLC tasks where called upon for moderate change requests as well as project assignments. Acts in a Technical Project Leadership role following IT’s best practice SDLC processes. Qualifications TECHNOLOGY REQUIREMENTS: IMAGING
• Strong working knowledge of document scanning tools such as KOFAX, IBM’s Capture and SunGard
• Expert level Java or any one of (ASP.NET, C#, VB.NET)
• Expert knowledge of SQL
• Knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture and solution designs
• Advanced problem solving and analytical skills
• Web service standards (SOAP and REST) and Healthcare experience a plus
Experience Requires five (5) years of relevant developer experience; in lieu of a Bachelor's degree requires 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in an IT development role will be considered

Prior experience in a healthcare organization is preferred
Education Required Education: Bachelors Degree (Computer Information Systems); in lieu of a Bachelors degree, a combination of work experience and education will be considered Working Conditions Must be able to work in an office environment Must have ability and access to work from remote location such as home Manual Dexterity Req: Eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to effectively use a computer with all its components for prolonged periods of time and for the majority of required tasks Manual Dexterity Req: Eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to effectively utilize various office equipment (phone, computer, fax machine, printer, copier, filing cabinet, etc) Physical Effort: Minimum; typical of most office work.
