We’re looking for a Security Engineer, which can anticipate problems, just as quickly, efficiently and effectively analyze, diagnose and resolve those problems. Someone that is naturally curious about security vulnerabilities and how to mitigate them. This position requires someone that energetically focuses their efforts on meeting an objective or mission, while utilizing logical, systematic and orderly procedures to do so. It’s critical that our Security Engineer works effortlessly, effectively and productively with team members, inside and outside our organization, to help ensure our collective success.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support Tier 1 Technicians with security related trouble tickets
  • Collaborate with teams (internal/external) on all endpoint security configurations, on all security related incidents, breach containment, disaster recovery, and penetration testing
  • Triage and manage security related Help Desk Tickets
  • Constantly monitor for security and log vulnerabilities (IDS, IPS, Antivirus etc.)
  • Research, understand and document security hardening standards and regulations(HIPAA/PCI)
  • Develop and document security incident response procedures, and document security knowledge base articles
  • Provide reoccurring reports for network and host-based security solutions
  • Provide incident response support as needed in response to information security related events
  • Participate in DR / BCP exercises and continuous improvement processes
  • Maintain and update relevant system and process documentation
  • Develop ad-hoc reports as needed
  • Participate in internal and external audits

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years’ experience with Windows and Linux system administration
  • 3+ years’ experience in at least one of the following: UNIX, C, HTML, or PERL scripting
  • Experience with vulnerability management of systems and tools
  • Ability to build out and administrate Security Information & Event Management (SIEM) platform, log indexing and correlation platform

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with network-based Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS)
  • Healthcare experience
  • Strong CISSP knowledge
  • ITIL Foundation Experience
