The Enterprise Identity and Access Management team is seeking a senior technical engineer to support the strategic roll out, engineering, build, automation, and steady state operational support of Privileged Access Management functions for United Health Group in order to ensure secure credentials of people logging into our systems appropriately.
Lead large scale programs to integrate the Privileged Access Management (PAM) systems across the enterprise components: desktop, distributed, VMs, etc.
Design automation utilities that are in alignment with enterprise security and best practices
Engage with senior business leaders across the enterprise to define service levels and systems capacity requirements for critical business applications in order to optimize capabilities for both customers and operational support team
Drive segment and UHG wide project activities for PAM such as the building out the Application Identity Manager capability
Identify areas of business risk and process improvements relative to Smart Cards and drive a scaled solution
Proactively communicate high-priority incident escalations, incident/change summaries, and focused service reviews that could impact delays in deployment iterations on an enterprise scale
Demonstrate understanding of the internal organizational structure, and how work gets done within business and IT organizations
Identify and engage the appropriate IT stakeholders from all applicable areas
Advise enterprise architecture teams on ways to improve secrets management and privileged access security by leveraging PAM products
Ensure corporate wide infrastructure components integrate with the PAM suite of products
Build and maintain PAM metrics for enterprise activity utilization
Monitor / manage vendor performance to ensure solution and deliverables meets compliance and security needs
Monitor service delivery, proactively identify risks and remediate them as required
Ensure alignment of project deliverables with key business metrics
- Undergraduate Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
- 10 or more years of professional IT experience
- Prior experience working with all levels, both with technical and non-technical individuals
- Prior experience technically leading distributed teams
- Scripting and development background in technologies such as Shell, Python, Perl, Java
- Ability to tune and troubleshoot complex distributed systems
- Devops experience in continuous delivery, continuous integration, and technologies such as Chef, Docker, Mesos, Kubernetes
- Understanding of change management best business practices
- Experience with Agile
- Experience delivering presentations to senior level executives
- Operating system expertise either in Windows or UNIX
- Access management and security background preferred in technologies like privileged access and secrets management
