As an Applications Developer, you would work as a part of a dynamic team with a focus on writing code and developing applications leveraging multiple tools, languages, processes, and technologies.
 
The Applications Developer is responsible for utilizing Excel and similar products in the development and maintenance of automation tools. The individual in this position will be responsible for working with other members of the development team to build automation tools that support the overall business function of our customers
 
Please note: This is an office based position and is not a telecommute/work from home position. Office location: Dublin, OH

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Strong knowledge of VBA - developing automation tools that integrate Microsoft Excel, Access and Internet Explorer
  • Experience with data manipulation, management and reporting
  • Excellent technical research, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Assess problems, recommend appropriate solutions and implement them
  • Create accurate documentation for distribution to end-users
  • Requirement gathering, design and creation of automation tools utilizing VBA and advanced Microsoft Office programming
  • Constant client communication during project phase to ensure accuracy and that timelines are being met
  • Maintain and modify programs
  • Code, test and troubleshoot programs utilizing the appropriate hardware, database and programming technology
  • Maintain and modify programs; make approved changes by amending flow charts, develop detailed programming logic and coding changes
  • Test and develop programming modifications
  • Confer with business owners, supervisors and end-users to gain understanding of needed changes or modifications to existing tools

Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma / GED
  • 1 + years of .NET experience
  • 1+ years of SQL experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel with the ability to perform complex formulas
  • Experience with VBA Development
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Object Oriented Programming
  • Experience with Team Foundation Server, Github, or other version control tool
  • Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio
  • C# or other application development language
  • IBM Personal Communicator (utilizing IBM3270 host)
  • SQL knowledge with ability to build an access database that can connect to a Microsoft SQL server and Understanding of database design/architecture in a Microsoft SQL Server environment
  • Microsoft Access experience with ability to code VBA
  • Understanding of business and technical project lifecycles from inception to scope, requirements and testing
  • Project Management / Business Analyst experience with ability to assist in any of the project lifecycles as needed
