Job Description Details:
The Lead Expeditor supervises the Room Service line for meals to patients and guest to assure diet accuracy, menu accuracy, high quality, timeliness and appetizing appearance of food. To perform and/or supervise training and cleaning/sanitation duties.
Supervises Room Service line to assure diet accuracy, menu accuracy, quality and appearance of patient trays.
Supervises speed of room service line assuring trays are delivered within a 45 minute window.
Supervises truckers to assure carts are delivered quickly.
Utilizes computerized tray monitor system for communication.
Provide relief for supervisory and/or area diet aide positions.
Performs and monitors cleaning functions in assigned area according to department sanitation policies and procedures.
High school graduate or equivalent required.
Previous experience in a food service operation. Prefer previous food service supervisory experience and/or educational background, preferred.
Effective Communication Skills
Ability to complete assignments under direct periodic supervision.
Must have a flexible working schedule.
Must be able to read and write.
