This exciting and challenging role is responsible for providing technical leadership to support our rapidly growing Specialty Benefits business. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the architectural direction for new technology solutions as well as modernizing our existing application suite. Our business growth has necessitated modernization and use of Cloud, Micro services and DevOps technologies.




The complexity of this role can be challenging. We must provide the most up-to-date technology and provide creativity, critical thinking and clarity on an everyday basis.


Primary Responsibilities:

Technical Lead for multiple scrum teams to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and continuously improve software
Work with sometimes ambiguous / conceptual requirements and guide the technical team to provide functionality with the right amount of engineering Own the applications’ technology stack and drive modern solutions to complex problems Drive organization initiatives including Agile maturity, automated testing, continuous integration, continuous delivery and documentation Partner with business leadership to manage user stories and project commitments in an agile framework to rapidly deliver value to our customers Work in a fast paced environment and deal with multiple priorities

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience

  • 5+ years of experience developing software (preferably Java)

  • 3+ years of experience developing web application and web service development (API’s, Micro Service Architecture)

  • 3+ years of leading cross functional teams, with emphasis on technical management

  • Agile / Scrum experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with CI/CD

  • Experience with Automation Testing

  • Experience with cloud containers (Docker) and continuous delivery

  • Experience in healthcare industry

  • Experience with commercial software
