Position summary: #LI-KM1
The Lean Engineer is pivotal to the Project Management and Data Management functions within the Quality Services division. Under the Project Management function, the Lean Engineer provides organizational process consulting to the healthcare system for the purpose of facilitating clinical and operational process improvement activities that incorporate Lean, Six Sigma, project management and other organizational process/performance improvement methodology/tools. This position is responsible for planning, managing, analyzing, and measuring process events in order to meet the organizational needs for service, clinical, and operational excellence. Identifies critical areas for improvement and establishes a course of action. The Lean Engineer ensures applicable metrics for process and project teams are met through team facilitation. Collaborates with internal resources and departments to ensure continuous improvement within the organization to meet strategic initiatives.
BS in Industrial Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science or related field. Master's in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or related field preferred.
o Six Sigma Black Belt
o 4 years' experience in industrial engineering or business operations using Lean/Six Sigma
o Work experience with integrated health delivery system processes
o Expert level Microsoft Excel abilities
o Expert knowledge of database functionality
o Extensive report writing experience with Crystal Reports or similar report writing applications.
o Must have good command of the English language in verbal and written communication
