LHI: Telecommunications Analyst - Telecommute

UHG - La Crosse, Wisconsin

The Telecommunications Analyst is part of the IT Telecom Engineering Team, focusing on quality, efficient day to day management, operation, planning and implementation of the telephony network to support LHI’s business operations.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform administration, maintenance and documentation of day-to-day operations of LHI's telephony network, including but not limited to multiple VoIP PBX phone systems, Contact Center applications, Voice Mail, routing of calls, tie line configuration, IVR scripts, analog lines, call accounting software and call recording

  • Responsible for creation, removal and changes of end user telephone configuration as well as phone deployment

  • Maintains and audits services such as long distance and cellular accounts

  • Routinely monitors telephony systems to identify potential issues

  • Assists other team members with preparation and upgrade of systems, as well as design, implementation and documentation of various applications and software

  • Assists in creation of user training documentation, provides user training, as well as additional information necessary for the proper use of the telecommunications equipment

  • Provides support for telecom service request tickets


Required Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent combination of education, experience and/or applicable military experience will be considered

  • 2+ years of experience working within the telecommunication industry

  • Strong working knowledge of VoIP PBX and Call Center systems

  • Intermediate working knowledge of Automatic Call Distribution (ACD), call center applications and IVR scripting

  • Ability to perform routine local and remote telephone system, voicemail, contact center, and call recording software administration

  • Ability to provide level 1 technical support for work order request tickets on voice communication equipment in a timely fashion with minimal supervision and in a well-organized manner

  • Ability to document and maintain the telecom systems environment for operational and planning purposes

  • Proficient computer skills including Windows based applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Visio)

  • Must have reliable transportation for infrequent travel to remote locations within the United States or off campus locations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Intermediate experience or knowledge of the  following Mitel physical and virtual systems:  MiVoice 3300, MiCollab (MAS), MiCollab Client, MiContact Center (MiCC), NuPoint Unified Messaging, Mitel Border Gateway (MBG), MiVoice Call Recording

  • National Career Readiness Certificate

  • Military experience

  • Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills

  • Strong customer service orientation with both internal and external customers

  • Ensure all work activities are performed in accordance with policies, practices, procedures, standards, and rules of the company in compliance with regulations and procedures required by external agencies, including company incident and change management procedures

  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision, and must be able to problem solve and propose solutions in a fast paced environment

  • Possess strong analytical thinking, time management, and multi-tasking skills

  • Driven individual who enjoys learning and growing professionally, is goal oriented and collaborates well with other team members
