Wells Fargo Bank, N.A. seeks an Linguistic Operation Manager in San Francisco, CA to manage Wells Fargo In-Language Customer Experience Team’s translation desktop software –Trado Studio, MultiTerm Desktop, TM Maintenance Tool. Oversee daily operation of other translation systems including the machine translation engine, terminology and glossary system, build translation system and tools document library with the quick start guide, user manual and system configuration maps to promote user self-services and educational benefits, and explore new translation technology and tools to introduce innovated translation solutions to improve translation project process and accelerate time-to-market of the localized product/experience. Collaborate with linguists to resolve linguistic issues and rebuttals for different languages, lead the respective linguists from different languages and vendors to update language assets such as style guide and glossaries for different languages regularly, and create training curriculums and conduct trainings of the translation system and tool training and linguistic review process training to onboard new vendors and linguists. Develop Chinese language assets including style guide and glossary for Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese for both simplified Chinese and traditional Chinese languages.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Chinese, or a related field, and 5 years of progressively responsible experience in the translation and localization industry as a linguist, performing Chinese translation and linguistic review for quality assurance to ensure consistency with approved brand standards. 5 years of experience marketing content required to support special translation/review needs from lines of business, such as press release translation and integrated marketing materials review. Must possess 5 years of experience with SDL translation management system, desktop publishing elements, website localization, mobile/app localization, and machine translation.
