Summary:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
  • Supervise fleet backhaul staff to ensure on-time deliveries of backhauls at both distribution centers
  • Conduct cost benefit analysis on existing and potential fleet pickups
  • Generate / analyze / distribute weekly Inbound Logistics reports:
    • Backhaul Profit
    • Off Route Miles / Empty & Salvage Shuttles
    • Fleet Late Report
    • Drop Trailer Status
  • Resolve recurring Vendor pick up issues with Vendors, Transportation and Procurement (may include nights / weekends).
  • Administer fleet backhaul policies for vendor detention and freight invoicing with select Vendors
  • Other duties may be assigned or required

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; or two to three years of experience in transportation logistics, warehouse, supply chain, or anindustry-related and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access); Warehouse Management System experience a plus.
