This position performs the routine sorting and delivery of mail to support daily operations within the Facilities Department. The employee will perform administrative and time sensitive work and must exercise independent judgment in determining priorities related to managing assignments. This position requires 4  hours of driving daily, basic computer skills, excellent verbal skills and organizational and time management skills.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Locate and retrieve prescriptions / patient demographic forms when requested

  • Sort and file prescriptions / patient demographic forms (may include lifting up to 30 lbs.)

  • Label older prescription file boxes for offsite storage

  • Cross train and work in all processes when needed

  • Other duties as assigned

  • Repetitive movements including: sit, stand, kneel, reach, and climb ladder

  • Must be able to organize and distribute incoming and outgoing US Mail as well as internal correspondence and packages:

    • This includes multiple locations and multiple buildings

  • Must be able to back up Corporate Receptionist at specified locations, if needed, including lunch coverage

  • Must be able to use Microsoft Office to access, edit and maintain daily procedures and protocols which change frequently

  • Maintain and order department supplies

  • Performs all other related duties assigned

  • Performs distribution of office supplies within buildings




Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 2 - 3 years of clerical support experience

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft office

  • Required to drive company vehicle daily for extended periods of time

  • Must be able to operate standard office equipment such as copier, fax, and postage machine

  • Familiarity with computer and Windows PC applications, which includes the ability to learn new and complex computer system application

  • Available to work 40 hours per week and overtime as required according to the needs of the business

  • Prior stable work experience

  • Ability to remain focused and productive each day though tasks may be repetitive

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Some college

  • Mailroom experience

  • Customer service experience in the healthcare industry

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) fluency preferred but not necessary
