Typically works on semi-routine assignments.
The Mail Operations Pharmacy Technician 2 ensures inventory levels are adequate for dispensing by working with inventory supply team. Decisions are typically focus on interpretation of area/department policy and methods for completing assignments. Works within defined parameters to identify work expectations and quality standards, but has some latitude over prioritization/timing, and works under minimal direction. Follows standard policies/practices that allow for some opportunity for interpretation/deviation and/or independent discretion.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must have an active license with the Board of Pharmacy in the appropriate state.
- Previous experience with phones and typing prescriptions.
- National Certification, PTCB CphT
As a Pharmacy Tech with Specialty, you will have the opportunity to rotate through several different functions throughout the day including typing prescriptions and taking phone calls, allowing you more variety in your work and the chance to expand your skillset and grow professionally.The hours for Specialty Monday-Friday from 11:30am-8:00pm (12:30pm-9pm during Daylight Savings Time) along with a Saturday shift from 7am-3:30pm (8:00am-4:30pm during Daylight Savings Time). This means that you get 2nd shift differential pay for 2 hours each weekday which is 12% higher than your regular pay rate (for most techs this is around $2 more per hour!) and you also get weekend shift differential on Saturdays which is an extra 5%! Specialty offers the opportunity to work from home after training and once you’re proficient in the role.
