Position Summary

GetGo Safety Manager leads the implementation of the GetG0 Safety Strategy, to foster a zero incident safety culture and ensure compliance with applicable safety and food safety regulations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing the long-term and annual GetGo Safety and Food Safety Strategy.
  • Oversee implementation of the GetGo Safety and Food Safety Strategy, providing direct leadership for assigned projects and training initiatives.
  • Develop the routine safety communication materials and assist in customizing food safety communication materials (themes, safety committee guides, discussion points, etc.)
  • Direct a team of Specialists responsible for developing and supporting the GetGo Safety Culture.
  • Manage the Accelerator Safety Speedometer Tools.
  • Serve as the liaison with the internal Food Safety Team as well as external consultants, auditors, contractors and regulators.
  • Lead the Safety Improvement Communication Process and participate in Leadership Meetings and Training: District/Store Leader Meetings, Safety Improvement Calls, DART Incident Reviews.
  • Responsible for budget development, expense control and/or revenue generation for a department.
  • Supervision of team members within an area or section of a department.

Education and Training Required

  • Bachelors Degree Safety Management, Food Science or related field

Experience Required

  • 5 to 10 years

Experience Desired
