This is a full - time designated MLTSS Member Representative responsible for internal representation of the interests of MLTSS Members including but not limited to input into planning and delivery of long term services and supports, participation in QM / QI activities, assistance with program monitoring and evaluation, and provision of education to enrollees, families, and providers on issues related to the MLTSS program. The MLTSS Member Representative shall assist MLTSS Members in navigating the Contractor’s system. This shall include, but not be limited to, helping MLTSS Members understand and use the Contractor’s system, being a resource for MLTSS Members, providing information, making referrals to appropriate Contractor staff Members, and facilitating resolution of any issues. The MLTSS Member Representative shall make recommendations to the Contractor on any changes needed to improve the Contractor’s system for MLTSS Members, and participate as an ex officio Member of the Contractor’s Consumer Advisory Committee.

Positions in this function are responsible for providing expertise, advocacy and comprehensive service support to members and their families. Direct phone - based and email consumer interaction to address complex member needs and provide recommendations on services that may help close gaps in care for the member and / or the member's family. This could include addressing complex questions, and effectively referring care for medical, dental, flex, pharmacy benefits, eligibility and claims, financial spending accounts and correspondence. (This function does NOT include positions related to Advocate4Me. Advocate4Me positions are part of the Advocate4Me job function.)

Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma / GED or higher
  • 1+ years of customer service experience, analyzing and solving customer problems
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher
  • 1+ years of experience educating professionals and non - professionals in a classroom or one - to - one setting
  • 1+ years of experience organizing and facilitating Consumer Advisory Committee meetings
