A clinically competent registered nurse who will assist the CBM Director and CNO in assuring that standards of psychiatric nursing are consistent with standards of professional organizations and regulatory agencies by directing, supervising and evaluating the psychiatric nurses and staff. Conducts admission and concurrent medical care review to assure that there is appropriate utilization of the hospital’s resources in striving to provide high quality patient care in the most cost effective manner. Complies with pre-certification, Medicare and Medical Assistance requirements.Nurse Manager will lead the Nursing staff on the behavioral health unit to deliver high quality nursing care.

Manage RN's, LPN's, and MHW to deliver nursing care on the psychiatric unit including but not limited to:


Staff Schedules

Treatment Planning

Nursing assessment and nursing care

PI Plans

Training and Competencies

Magnet Readiness




Graduate of an approved school of nursing. BSN required.


Three to five years experience as a Psychiatric nurse on an inpatient unit serving adult and senior adults.

Two years in utilization  management preferred.

Management experience preferred.


Valid license as Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

Valid Healthcare Provider CPR certificaiton required

CPI  certification within one year of  of hire and continuous renewal.
