The OASIS Review RN is responsible for the prospective review of OASIS assessments to include: Start of Care, Resumption of Care, Recertification, and Discharge, to ensure appropriateness, completeness, and compliance with state and federal regulations. Ensures appropriate ICD - 9 Coding and sequencing as it relates to the patient's medical condition, including any co - morbidities and current guidelines. Consults with appropriate clinician to clarify any data integrity issues and/or corrections to documentation. Assists clinicians in establishing immediate and longterm therapeutic goals, in setting priorities and in developing the plan of care. Reviews visit utilization for appropriateness as per care guidelines and patient condition; reports potential financial losses and/or underutilization to the manager. Notifies agency leadership of problematic trends noted in OASIS documentation as a result of OASIS review. May assist with other chart audit activities as needed. May be required to see patients on an as needed basis.
Required - graduate of approved nursing program - 1 -2 years of Home Health experience - Licensed to practice nursing in South Carolina
Preferred - BSN - OASIS certification and ICD - 9 certification
