Wealth and Investment Management (WIM) businesses build enduring client relationships through sound, thoughtful and objective advice. We help our clients by developing individualized plans for everything from retirement goals to business succession planning, to family legacy intentions. Services include comprehensive planning and advice, investment management, brokerage, private banking, estate planning strategies, trust, insurance and both individual and institutional retirement.

We’re seeking an Operational Risk Consultant 4 (ORC4) to manage the oversight and monitoring of the Operational Risk Programs, including the creation and monitoring of key risk data metrics associated with client portfolios, asset management activities, and WIM Fiduciary Framework requirements – all to ensure integration and synergies between the Lines of Business, Risk, Compliance and the Enterprise.


The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing direct support to the Operational Asset Management Risk Program and potentially additional programs (e.g. Information Security, Loss Reporting, International, BPRM, Third Party, etc.)
  • Managing/executing all program requirements, including key risk metrics.
  • Implementing key risk initiatives from Corporate and WIM Operational Risk.
  • Providing guidance, training and direct support to the lines of business in executing program requirements.
  • Working with complex business units and provides operational risk expertise and consulting for projects and initiatives with high risk.
  • Consulting with businesses to develop corrective action plans and effectively manages change.
  • Reporting findings and develop business cases to influence senior management on the need for controls to mitigate risk.
  • Managing and/or coordinating production of periodic operational risk performance reports for senior management, including trend analysis and recommended strategies.
  • Managing project teams and providing guidance to less experienced consultants.

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in compliance, operational risk management (includes audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, or the management of a process or business with accountability for compliance or operational risk), or a combination of both; or 6+ years of IT systems security, business process management or financial services industry experience, of which 3+ years must include direct experience in compliance, operational risk management, or a combination of both
