Wells Fargo is seeking a paralegal with a minimum of 3 years of experience for a position within the Secured Lending Section supporting non-real estate collections and default servicing. The successful candidate will:

  • Review policies, procedures, and consumer facing correspondence for non-real estate lines of business to ensure compliance with applicable laws.
  • Analyze and interpret new laws or changes to existing laws to determine applicability to business practices and provide guidance on relevant changes.
  • Research and maintain matrices on various laws impacting default servicing and collections, including, but not limited to: state and federal debt collection laws, creditor remedies (judgments, garnishments, replevins, repossession), and statutory notice requirements.
  • Prior experience using Westlaw to research and resolve issues and matters, which may involve substantial legal or factual complexity, through detailed review and/or examination of documentation and/or factual investigation.
  • Possess a high degree of analytical, written, and oral communication and organization skills.
  • May prepare or review agreements and documents under the direction of an attorney.
  • Be able to identify specific as well as broad, underlying issues in the area of expertise and work independently on complex assignments without direct supervision.
  • Collaborate and work well with others on the team.

  • 3+ years of paralegal experience
