  The Paralegal supports the Acquisition Department of a major healthcare company that is experiencing rapid growth. The Paralegal will attend to business operational matters and assist with creating and managing administrative processes that will insure that the required job duties are handled both efficiently and effectively.      Primary Responsibilities:
  • Organize, track and file any required legal or regulatory filings or renewals for the Company (Florida AHCA, CLIA, etc.)
  • Assist to maintain any required Company logs associated with Company licenses, permits, insurance policies, etc.
  • Track and coordinate corporate document updates and filings 
  • Track and coordinate production and distribution of annual incentive awards
  • Work with internal and external counsel to manage contracts associated with the acquisition of medical practices including Mutual Non-Disclosure Agreements, Transaction Agreements, Employment Agreements, Right of First Refusal contracts
  • Facilitates the planning, scheduling, coordinating and execution of Acquisition related meetings and conferences and is responsible for preparation of agendas, scheduling of WebEx conferences, taking minutes and documentation of action items
  • Assist acquisition staff with filing and organization of acquisition documents
  • Assist with due diligence by scanning and filing any due diligence information received
  • Organize information for ease of review for acquisition attorneys on shared FTP site and assist in review of such documents as directed by external attorneys
  • Assist Acquisitions team in the implementation of projects, including planning, developing, implementing and evaluating projects, coordinating project activities, collaborating with project team members and monitoring progress toward achievement of projects as assigned
  • Efficiently maintain electronic and paper filing systems related to any related project
  • Prioritize and manage multiple projects while maintaining focus and attention to detail with minimal supervision
  • Performs all other related duties as assigned by the Sr. Director, Business Development

Required Qualifications:
  • Associates Degree, Business or Healthcare Administration
  • Paralegal certificate  (4 additional years of comparable work experience beyond the required years of experience may be substituted)
  • 5+ years of experience working as a paralegal for a full-service law firm supporting corporate and/or litigation attorneys
  • Experience handling routine legal matters, including assistance in reviewing contracts
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree, Business or Healthcare administration
  • 10+ years of experience as a paralegal
  • Experience in the healthcare industry
  • Experience in a customer service or call center position
  • Positive attitude with excellent customer services skills and the ability to work with multiple groups of people at all levels internal and external to the organization
