Part Time Licensed Care Advocate Weekends- CaliforniaTelecommute

For these positions you must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as they fall into your schedule.
Here are the days/hours for the current positions:
 
Fri: 3p-8p, Pacific Standard Time (no lunch)
Sat/Sun: 11a- 9:30p, Pacific Standard Time (w/30 min lunch)
 
 
If you are located in California, you will have the flexibility to telecommute* as you take on some tough challenges.
 
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Focus on initial inpatient admission for psychiatric and chemical dependency patients
  • Make patient assessments and determining appropriate levels of care
  • Determine if additional clinical treatment sessions are needed
  • Manage inpatient mental health cases throughout the entire treatment plan
  • Administer benefits
  • Coordinate benefits and transitions between various areas of care
  • Identify ways to add value to treatment plans and consulting with facility staff

We are looking for one candidate to work a shift with a morning start and another to work a shift with an afternoon start. Some weekend work will be required.

 

You’ll find the pace fast and the challenges ongoing. We’ll expect you to achieve and document measurable results. You’ll also need to think and act quickly while working with a diverse member population.

 

 

 

 


Required Qualifications:
  • Licensed Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or Marriage or Family Counseling, or Licensed Ph.D., or an RN with 2+ years of experience in behavioral health
  • Licenses must be active and unrestricted in CA
  • 2+ years post Masters or RN experience in a related mental health environment
  • Proficient Microsoft skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays according to your schedule 
  • Dedicated, distraction-free home work space with access to high speed internet
  • Must live in the state of California  
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Inpatient experience
  • Dual diagnosis experience with mental health and substance abuse
  • Experience working in an environment that required coordination of benefits and utilization of multiple groups and resources for patients
