As the healthcare industry continues to change, one thing remains steadfast: Tower Health’s commitment to Advancing Health, Transforming LivesResponsibilities Coordinates the CT scanning examinations to ensure the quality and continuity of patient care.Is responsible for inventory and control of specific CT supply items such as biopsy needles, pressure injector syringes, interventional sets, etc. in work area; may purchase supplies for the area of responsibility. Uses supplies cost effectivelyWorks with the radiologist to set standards for CT to ensure quality in techniques, procedures and patient care.Reviews each examination for technical accuracy, presents completed examinations to radiologist, and communicates pertinent data to persons responsible for the care of
the patient following the procedureKnowledge of reconstruction protocols (ie: 3D, angio, image fusion, etc.)Performs procedures according to departmental protocol as established by Radiologist(s); understands procedure preparation for general radiologyCritiques images prior to submitting for interpretation. Utilizes shielding /collimation to minimize patient radiation exposure, complies with Radiation Safety Procedures and ALARA principles; monitors own radiation exposure Qualifications Licenses/Certificates: 1. Registered with the Advanced certification in CT by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology in CT required.
2. State license or certification if applicable
3. One to two years hospital experinced preferred. 4. AHA BLS or equivalent
