Investigates, reviews and analyzes claims data applying knowledge of pharmacy policy and practice and data mining techniques
Identifies and documents fraudulent or erroneous activities determined as a result of an audit
Working within audit software daily, must be familiar with PC computers
Communicate via phone and emails with Pharmacies
Auditing CMS claims
Ability to work towards deadlines
High Volume case load
Working with a team of auditors
Auditors typically are licensed pharmacy technicians with in - depth knowledge of pharmacy operations
High School Diploma / GED
Nationally Certified Pharmacy Technician
IL Pharmacy Technician license
2+ years Retail Pharmacy Technician experience in a pharmacy environment
Basic experience in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint (Word - creating / updating documents; Excel - creating / updating spreadsheets, pivot tables, formulas; PowerPoint - creating basic presentations)
Ability to work Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30am and flexibility with the start
- Medicare Experience
- Medical Billing Experience
- PBM (Pharmacy Benefit Management) Experience
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong organizational skills; detailed oriented
