Prior Authorization Business Consultant - Telecommute

  Primary Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a Product Owner for a Data & Reporting Agile Team supporting Pharmacy Prior Authorization Data

  • Work with Account Management & Pharmacy Prior Authorization Operations stakeholders to define data and report requirements and develop reporting solutions

  • Conduct User Acceptance Testing for data solutions

  • Coordinate with offshore resources to manage work load of UAT staff and ensure testing is accurate, timely and appropriately documented

  • Develop Automated reports using a variety of technologies

  • Analyze, review, forecast and trend complex data

  • Present analyses and recommendations for operational and business review / planning

  • Support short- and long-term operational / strategic business activities through analysis

  • Develop, recommend and implement business solutions through research and analysis of data and business processes

  • Manage ticket system for new requests and assignment of work to other reporting analysts to ensure timely delivery of reports

 

This is a complex, fast-paced, matrixed environment with a lot of moving parts. The challenge is in developing, enhancing and maintaining operational information and models. You'll be expected to interpret and analyze large amounts of data from multiple sources and use it to tell a meaningful story.




Required Qualifications:
  • 2 years’ experience Prior Authorization process within Healthcare/PBM (e.g., Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial, etc.)

  • 2 or more years’ experience analyzing, reviewing, forecasting and trend complex data

  • Intermediate experience with PAS (Prior Authorization System) - front-end navigation and PA request processing (receipt to notification) – or similar system

  • Intermediate proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Pharmacist - preferred
  • PBM Sales experience – preferred
  • 1 or more years of experience working with UAT

  • Project management skills a plus

  • Intermediate proficiency with SSRS, Tableau, and COGNOS
