Our Default Servicing team engages, understands and advises consumer real estate customers of available solutions to resolve mortgage delinquencies.

Wells Fargo Servicing Engineering Office (SEO) is seeking an experienced professional to join the corporate team and help develop a strong operational excellence culture. The SEO improves customer experience, lowers our risk, and drives operational efficiencies and effectiveness. This individual will join a strategic team within Wells Fargo that is leading and developing a strong process engineering culture, core competencies, and capabilities rooted in continuous improvement to drive increased value for all stakeholders. We utilize an approach designed to improve business performance in all aspects of our company and applies to all levels of the organization. This position will coordinate and collaborate with other operational leaders across Servicing. This position will work with our Home Lending Servicing teams to identify opportunities and implement solutions to simplify and streamline the company.

Responsibilities will include (but not limited to) the following:

Process Improvement

  • Works with PE2 and/or PE3 to organize and co-facilitate process improvement initiatives (focus on process variation, defects, waste, etc.) within servicing to drive operational excellence
  • Co-facilitates Rapid Process Improvement (RPI) events for assigned areas of the business to identify quick win opportunities and foster future state brainstorming
  • Supports process deep dives to identify efficiency improvement opportunities
  • Tracks and communicates improvement initiative status & performance to business leadership
  • Engage with PMO partners to provide engineering support to projects where appropriate Speed to Market (STM) team leads the opportunity assessment, prioritization, and delivery of RPA for servicing


Partnering, & Collaboration

  • Collaborates with business leaders & SME’s in reviewing and determining potential process improvement initiatives
  • Establishes standards for measuring performance against process requirements - Including developing metrics that provide data for process management indicators for future improvement opportunities
  • Provides statistical analysis for business leaders, project teams, and managers as required. In addition, provide basic and advanced measurement approaches and mechanisms to ensure we are managing the process and producing the designed results
  • Drives business awareness of our common enterprise operational and process excellence methods, techniques, tools, etc.
  • Partners with the business and project teams to achieve the goals of those efforts while advancing the culture of operational excellence
  • Challenge the status quo and propose improvement opportunities
Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: process engineering, military (supply chain, analytics and/or engineering); or LEAN/Six Sigma Green belt and 3+years of experience in one or a combination of the following: process engineering, military (supply chain, analytics and/or engineering)
Desired Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree or higher in a quantitative field such as mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, engineering, or physics
  • Knowledge and understanding of Business Process Management Notation (BPMN) software such as iGrafx
  • Knowledge and understanding of Statistical Analysis software such as Minitab
  • Facilitation skills such as Helix
  • Change Management skills such as Prosci/ADKAR
  • Knowledge and understanding of Rapid Process Automation software such as Blue Prism
Other Desired Qualifications
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to take on a high level of responsibility, initiative, and accountability
  • Ability to problem solve and skilled at decision making
  • Apply practical knowledge and utilize lower level process tools to drive improvement in business processes
  • Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Financial services industry experience; preferably within risk domain
  • Virtual leadership experience with ability to effectively drive results, provide feedback/direction, and manage and build relationships with leaders and team members in a geographically dispersed team environment
  • Demonstrated experience with business process mapping tools such as Visio or iGrafx
  • Demonstrated experience supporting or leading small scale process improvement initiatives to successful conclusion
  • Knowledge and understanding of Rapid Process Automation software such as Blue Prism
  • Ability to effectively facilitate meetings
Job Expectations

  • WF Enterprise Process Engineering Intermediate learning level or LEAN/Six Sigma Green Belt must be documented as completed within 1 year of job start date
  • This position requires compliance with all mortgage regulatory requirements and Wells Fargo's compliance policies related to these requirements including acceptable background check investigation results. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and required reporting of certain incidents.
