As a member of the Strategy and Product team, the Product Analyst is responsible for analyzing and researching market trends, measuring and monitoring product performance, building business cases for new product opportunities and driving market intelligence through the organization. The Product Analyst will help develop the Nexus product suite to offer innovative products that improve appropriate, effective, safe, and convenient medication use, achieve quality outcomes, and lower health care costs. The ideal candidate brings passion and creativity for creating best-in-class products that deliver user-centric designs that allow for workflow efficiency and deliver high quality care.  The Product Analyst should demonstrate strong product sensibilities, presentation skills, enthusiasm for communicating with others and teamwork.  This position has high potential for ongoing growth, professional development, and promotional opportunities.

Responsibilities

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

 

  • Product Development
  • Proactively analyze current and prospective client and market drivers to assist the Strategy and Product team in the development of the product roadmap
  • Research and analyze competition and competitive trends
  • Provide in-depth data analysis of qualitative and quantitative research to be able to segment, trend and understand results
  • Identify and implement metrics to inform leaders of product performance and market opportunities
  • Evaluate opportunities to work with external vendors or partners for strategic process improvement
  • Design, lead and execute primary research initiatives including surveys, win/loss analysis, interviews and focus groups with clients and vendors
  • Translate client, regulatory, and user needs into clear product requirements that are scalable and reusable
  • Ensure self-service information, product descriptions, and product trainings are current and communicate all updates or changes to all channels and stakeholders
  • Evaluate programs and workflows to improve efficiencies and effectiveness on an ongoing basis
  • Drive internal and external reporting needs based upon feedback from clients and operations
  • Monitor product performance against success metrics such as adoption, engagement, usability, and effectiveness; develop and champion product improvements
  • Other Responsibilities
  • Assist Product Manager in completing functional process specifications, business requirements documents, and user acceptance testing as needed
  • Help evaluate strategic sales or partnership opportunities
  • Conduct demonstrations of the Nexus platform for prospective clients as needed
  • Attend national organization conferences as needed (ie. AMCP, PQA)
  • Continually review all CMS and regulatory requirements impacting MMS business
  • Offer insight related to CMS reporting or audit support
  • Write policies and procedures as needed
Qualifications

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or finance and 2+ years of related experience; or equivalent combination of healthcare and experience required
  • Direct experience managing and executing primary market research studies with a focus on government programs and/or pharmacy is preferred
  • Business background and strong understanding of healthcare industry and components of care management
  • Individual contributor and ability to work autonomously
  • Excellent interpersonal and abstract analytical skills
  • Ability to set goals and define metrics smartly
  • Excellent written, verbal, and listening skills to initiate professional and effective communication with internal and external customers
  • Strong organizational and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex information to diverse audiences
  • Ability to see big picture as well as the details that need to occur; global knowledge of health care industry and product offerings
  • Enthusiasm for teamwork and collaboration with multiple roles within MMS
  • Understanding the pharmaceutical care philosophy of practice and the ability to express it to clients
  • Mastery of the Microsoft Office product suite
  • Atlassian products including JIRA or Confluence (preferred)
