Description

The Senior Product Management Professional leads or coordinates cross-functional project/program teams from design to delivery of fully-developed products that are ready for customer use. The Senior Product Management Professional work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

Description

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead or coordinate cross-functional project/program teams from design to delivery of fully-developed products that are ready for customer use; partnering closely with the Product Owner.
  • Investigates facts and develops solutions to problems during the design and planning phases.
  • Monitor performance, and make recommendations to schedule changes, cost adjustments or resource additions
  • Serve as the user advocate - apply your deep understanding of studying user intent and behavior to ensure your team does the right user research (e.g. feasibility studies, field trials management, identifying product gaps, defining product requirements and engaging with customers to understand market needs and trends) to refine our product direction and share back insight into the broader organization.
  • Continually synthesize input from various internal and external sources to ensure product balances user needs with business goals. Write user stories incrementally to reflect changing priorities and product evolution.
  • Serve as the voice and ambassador of the team and advocate for the customer ensuring we listen to and share out to our many stakeholders
  • Collaborate across the company and bring out the best in others to get us to the right answers, while running your team’s product operations.
  • Get into the data and support your team with actionable insights. Understand complex technical challenges and synthesize conversations for non-technical stakeholders. 
  • Make any/all day-to-day product decisions to keep the product moving forward.
  • Determine release schedule based on product readiness and need for user feedback

               

Required Skills / Experiences 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Three years of Product Management experience (five years is ideal)
  • Experience with two of the following: lean startup methodologies, agile development methodologies, working directly with clients 
  • Experience shipping successful products, including defining vision, strategy, outcome-driven product roadmaps and creating and managing backlogs
  • Experience articulating and testing product hypotheses
  • Demonstrated ability to define and track KPIs and other measurable success criteria
  • Deep user empathy and strong user experience sensibilities
  • Experience closely collaborating with engineers and designers as part of small co-located teams
  • Demonstrated ability to get things done in a rapidly changing environment
  • Demonstrated ability to influence decision making in different contexts
  • Interest in coaching others
  • Ability to break down complex problems into actionable steps
  • Ability to facilitate collaborative decision-making in a workshop context 
  • Ability to quickly understand a specific client domain and identify the trends and opportunities in that space
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to adapt your communication style for the audience
  • Adept at coaching others
  • Ability to facilitate collaborative decision-making in a workshop context

  • Must be able to travel 25%
