Supervise a single program or unit within a program, typically supporting 4-8 individuals in residential settings. Duties are split between providing direct support, professional or program activities and supervision. Within a designated service or program, the Program Supervisor ensures that all of the individuals we serve are supported with dignity and respect.
The Program Supervisor is responsible to supervise Direct Support Professionals. In addition, the Program Supervisor oversees the day-to-day operation of the program including delivery of supports, implementation of person-centered plans, health care, advocacy, customer engagement, regulatory compliance and when applicable, oversight of the physical environment.
The Program Supervisor generally works 8 to 16 flexible hours per week in a supervisory capacity; and provides direct support for the remaining hours. Act as a “go to” person for that program, serving as a mentor to other employees, promoting teamwork, and identifying any training needs. It is generally expected to visit each shift and all employees one time per month, including where supervising periodic or hourly services.
Direct Support: Work regularly scheduled shifts as a Direct Support Professional (DSP/Caregiver) and maintain records, program planning, team meetings, compliance, management of individual’s assets, incidents and billing/ utilization.
Health Care: monitor the health and safety
needs of each individual served, ensuring the highest level of quality care.
Stakeholder Relations: Maintain productive and professional relations with individuals, families, case managers and other stakeholders.
Personnel: In partnership with Program Director, supervise all DSPs in assigned program. Assist with recruitment; interview and hire Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) with agreement of the Program Director. Populate and maintain schedule to ensure that all shifts are covered and overtime is minimized. Assist with onboarding and deliver Orientation and ongoing training needs regarding the individuals served, program plans, policies, procedures and physical environment. Prepare and conduct annual evaluations for Direct Support Professionals, in consultation with the Program Director. Coach employees as needed, correcting or directing employee behavior where required; may remove employees in the event of emergency; may recommend and participate in decisions regarding termination; consult with the Program Director on all matters of discipline. Responsible for employee safety and workers’ compensation within the program; implement and monitor compliance with safety standards. May assist with or lead monthly program meetings for DSPs; document monthly meeting agenda and attendance.
Financial Management: purchase food and household items as needed. Review census, attendance information or other required documentation to ensure accurate billing.
Maintenance: ensure company and staff vehicles are in good repair as well as ensuring general maintenance of the home and work environment.

Qualifications: What we require of you:
- High School diploma or GED required;
- Minimum of one year related work experience; supervisory experience preferred;
- Must be 18 years of age
- Valid driver’s license in good standing; car registration and auto insurance if driving on the behalf of the Company or providing transportation to individuals receiving services.
- Successful clearance of local and/or state background checks
- A strong work ethic with a commitment to serving others
- Excellent communication skills with an ability to establish rapport with team members and those we serve
- Strong organizational abilities to ensure staffing and schedules are maintained
