The Provider Advocate (Dental) is responsible for the full range of Medicaid provider relations and service to include interactions with clients, members, and internal stakeholders. Candidate will be responsible for receiving escalated issues and resolving complex problems, including working on end-to-end provider claim and call quality, ease of use of physician portal and future service enhancements, and training & development of external provider education programs. The Provider Advocate develops the provider network (Dental) yielding a geographically competitive, broad access, stable network that achieves objectives for unit cost performance and trend management, and produces an affordable and predictable product for customers and business partners. The Provider Advocate will initially evaluate and negotiate contracts in compliance with company contract templates, reimbursement structure standards, and other key process controls. Responsibilities also include establishing and maintaining strong business relationships with and ensuring the network composition includes an appropriate distribution of provider specialties.
Use pertinent data and facts to identify and solve a range of problems within area of expertise
Investigate non-standard requests and problems, with some assistance from others
Prioritize and organize own work to meet deadlines
Provide explanations and information to others on topics within area of expertise
This is a telecommuter role and will need to be located in the state of Texas
Act as the liaison between the provider, members, and client
Handling high level escalations
*Must live within the vicinity of Alaska, preferred to be located in Anchorage, AK*
Undergraduate degree or equivalent work related experience
Intermediate level of knowledge with MS Excel
2+ years of experience in a customer service / customer relations related role
2+ years of professional experience in healthcare or dental related industry
Must live within commutable distance of the location listed for this specific career opportunity.
Experience with healthcare contracts and / or provider relations
