As a member of the Transcend Insights marketing team, the Public Relations Professional is responsible for the development and execution of various online and offline marketing projects and initiatives to increase the company’s brand awareness and thought leadership. This includes coordinating and evolving the company’s public relations (PR) and social media programs, as well as supporting the strategic direction and creation of marketing-related content.
With a primary focus on PR, the Public Relations Professional is responsible for collaborating with the company’s PR agency to: coordinate media relations and prepare external communications; plan, prepare and relay information concerning the organization; develop and maintain lines of communication with media contacts and other external audience groups.


Key Responsibilities

As the Public Relations Professional of Transcend Insights’ marketing team, you will have four primary areas of responsibility:

  • Coordinate and evolve the company’s public relations program
  • Administer and evolve the company’s social media marketing strategy and program
  • Design, develop and execute online and offline marketing content for a variety of channels, audiences and personas
  • Project manage various marketing projects and initiatives

Key Activities Include:

  • Public Relations: Coordinate and evolve the company’s public relations program
  • Maintain regular meetings with the company’s PR agency to ensure alignment on projects, expectations, timelines and deliverables
  • Support media outreach initiatives through the development of media pitch strategies, angles and content
  • Coordinate, schedule and prepare for media and analyst briefings
  • Develop and support the distribution of press releases and associated media outreach
  • Support the creation, implementation and execution of the company’s podium strategy
  • Identify, secure and prepare for speaking opportunities (i.e. abstracts, presentations and coordination)
  • Develop and submit award opportunity proposals
  • Administer, write and proofread bylined articles and all other media-related / thought leadership-related content
  • Support the maintenance of the company’s media list and editorial calendar to ensure the timely execution of public relations activities
  • Schedule and document ongoing intake calls with spokespeople and SMEs
  • Ensure promotion of media coverage through necessary channels
  • Maintain and evolve the company press kit and internal communications guidelines (i.e. FAQ, Corporate Compliance)
  • Track and report on the company’s PR metrics and results; leverage insights to continuously improve performance

Social Media: Administer and evolve the company’s social media marketing strategy and program

  • Administer and evolve the company’s social media marketing strategy and program through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification
  • Execute all social media activities to increase social reach via LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Google+ and YouTube
  • Create organic and paid social media campaigns and calls-to-action that drive website traffic and increase the company's following
  • Track and report on Transcend Insights’ social media performance and leverage these insights to continuously improve upon the social media strategy
  • Stay up-to-date on what is happening in the ever-evolving world of social and digital media, what competitors are doing and what new measurement tools are being used

 
Content Development: Design, develop and execute online and offline marketing content for a variety of channels, audiences and personas

  • Create compelling, comprehensive, website content that incorporates SEO best practices
  • Support email campaigns with targeted email content
  • Coordinate and create unique and engaging blogs
  • Develop, execute and project manage a variety of other marketing-related content (i.e. videos, webinars, presentations, newsletters, e-books, infographics, white papers, case studies, brochures, signage, advertisements and promotional materials)
  • Contribute to the content planning process and calendar
  • Project Management: Project manage various marketing projects and initiatives
  • Support the marketing team by proactively organizing and executing various marketing-related projects through project management principals and processes

               

Required Qualifications:

  • Typically requires Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, PR or related field of study
  • 4 or more years of B2B marketing, communications or public relations experience in a healthcare technology or high tech company
  • 4 or more years of experience working with a PR agency
  • 2 or more years B2B Social Media Marketing experience, working with all major social media platforms: LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Google+ and YouTube
  • Exceptional oral and written communications skills
  • Ability to translate complex topics into comprehensive, audience-specific messages
  • High degree of experience with project management principals and the Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated and directed
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Proven portfolio of PR and social media skillset and expertise including verifiable examples of marketing successes
  • Ability to travel within the US ~10-15%  of the time

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in the population health management market
  • Experience creating and/or project managing video projects
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices
