The Radiological Technician will be responsible for making x-rays as requested by the physicians. They will also maintain log book of x-rays , label film promptly and file the x-ray. Refer to the synopsis of Roentgen Sizns-Meschan as needed. The technician will be responsible for attending seminars to keep up to date on the laws governing making of x-rays. Maintain x-ray machines, i.e. making sure they are clean and kept current as new laws change. Coordinate the ordering of supplies for the x-ray room with the Office Manger. Also will assist in the making of EKG's when requested. The technician will be responsible for helping the physician in exams for patients. Bring patients to rooms and take vital signs for the doctor. Also when needed will phone in prescriptions as requested. The technician will be responsible for helping in the treatment of patients. The Radiological Technician will be cross-trained in other areas of the office to be able to fill in positions as needed by the Office Manager or Physician
Education, Certification/Experience Requirements:
The position requires at least two (2) years training preferably in a physician's office.
The position requires a high school education or equivalent.
Requires a two year degree in Radiology.
Must be certified by ARRT, National Board of Radiology.
Requires SCRQSA license.
