Position Summary

Use various channels to look for potential candidates, contacting passive candidates and building talent pipelines for future hiring needs. If you have solid networking skills, know how to source on social media and enjoy learning about different roles, we'd like to meet you. In this role you will help us to proactively identify our hiring needs and help us fill vacancies with qualified team members for a variety of Retail, Warehouse and/or Corporate position.

Job Responsibilities

  • Act as an employer brand ambassador and help to drive candidate interest in career opportunities. Demonstrate the ability to sell Giant Eagle's Team Member Value Proposition by understanding and utilizing candidates' varied interests to tailor marketing messages to be as compelling and persuasive as possible.
  • Interact with potential candidates on social media and professional networks and assist with multi-channel recruiting process to fill pipeline with high quality candidates including, but not limited to: passive applicants, internal recruiting, employee referrals, social networking, college networking, internships, job fairs, etc.
  • Create relevant, compelling, and personalized communication strategies that inform and spread the word about working at Giant Eagle & the opportunities we are hiring
  • Demonstrate the ability to be self motivated: Organizes time and schedule to ensure all weekly, quarterly and annual goals are met.
  • Support planned activities such as attending internal/external events, participating in canvassing days, and global hiring days.
  • Partner and consult with Recruitment Marketing, Recruiters and/or Hiring Managers to understand position requirements & determine keywords.
  • Identify qualified candidate profiles using various sourcing techniques (e.g. keyword & Boolean search)
  • Monitor conversion rates, including numbers of passive candidates who turn into applicants, get invited to interviews, get offers and get hired.
  • Communicate with past applicants regarding new job opportunities.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and fluidity in regularly changing work based on business needs. This can includes assisting with full cycle recruiting assignments during peak hiring seasons for a variety of positions, openings, acquisition work, or projects while working as part of a team.

Education and Training Required
