Position Summary

Use various channels to look for potential candidates, contacting passive candidates and building talent pipelines for future hiring needs. If you have solid networking skills, customer service skills, creative problem solving skills and enjoy learning about different roles, we'd like to meet you. This position is responsible for sourcing, attracting and interviewing high quality applicants through a variety of resources focusing on brand awareness with our customers and within our communities.

Job Responsibilities

  • Act as an employer brand ambassador and helps to drive candidate interest in career opportunities. Demonstrate the ability to sell Giant Eagle's Team Member Value Proposition by understanding and utilizing candidates' varied interests to tailor marketing messages to be as compelling and persuasive as possible.
  • Produce a pipeline of qualified candidates and builds a robust network of community partnership for the purpose of lead generation.
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships with hiring managers by taking time to clearly understand the business need(s) and to define the profile of the right candidate. Partner with hiring managers to interview and make final selection(s). Serve as a business partner to hiring managers by coaching them on best practices in recruiting, interviewing, selection, and extending offers. Communicate regularly with hiring managers regarding the status of open positions.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and fluidity in regularly changing work based on business needs. This includes full-cycle recruiting for a variety of positions, openings, acquisition work, or projects while working as part of a team.
  • Demonstrate the ability to be self motivated: Organize time and schedule to ensure all weekly, quarterly and annual goals are met.
  • Plan and support activities such as attending internal/external events, participating in canvassing days, and global hiring days.
  • Interact with potential candidates on social media and professional networks and assist with multi-channel recruiting process to pipeline high quality talent..
  • Use proactive sourcing techniques including but not limited to: identify and connect with passive talent through targeted direct calls, canvassing efforts, network and build partnerships with schools, communities, and diverse organizations/associations, conduct presentations and speaking engagements, utilize complex internet searches and social recruiting methods, mine internal Applicant Tracking System, attend external job fairs, arrange and lead in-store hiring events.

  • High school diploma or equivalent plus 18 months to 3 years of additional training

Experience Required

  • 1 to 3 years
