Job Description Details:Regional Director- Central- Position located in Ohio or Indiana. Region includes Ohio and Indiana.POSITION PURPOSE
The Regional Director Diversity and Inclusion reports to VP Diversity & Inclusion at System Office in Livonia, Mi. and is responsible for advancing Trinity Health's (TH) Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) Strategic Plan within the assigned Human Resource Ministry Service Area (HRMSA). The Regional Director Diversity and Inclusion collaborates with the Regional Health Ministry (RHM) CEO and HRMSA Regional Chief Human Resources Officer (RCHRO) to form the triad framework for implementation and leadership of all D & I initiatives in the RHM. The Regional Director Diversity and Inclusion will be a key business partner in recommending, developing and managing diversity and inclusion programs, initiatives and community partnerships. The Regional Director Diversity and Inclusion serves as a member on the regional executive leadership team and contributes to the overall strategy and success of the region. This leader also works closely with the System Office (SO) of Diversity and Inclusion, other TH HRMSA D&I Leaders, HR Staff and business leaders across the organization to ensure strategic initiatives, resources and tools are effectively leveraged to drive business results and to ensure an inclusive and diverse colleague population that aligns and supports organizational goals.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Knows, understands, incorporates and demonstrates the mission, vision and values of Trinity Health in leadership, behaviors, practices and decisions.
Maintains a ministry D&I council that works collaboratively to implement and support TH strategic goals in the areas of diversity in governance, diversity in talent, creating an inclusive and culturally welcoming environment, supplier diversity and eliminating health disparities.
Serves as an RHM D&I resource and convener of stakeholders, representing Ministry's commitments to promoting a diverse and inclusive organization, anchors institution philosophy and community health improvement and partnerships.
Provides support to RHM Executives, Business Leaders and Management in their development as "champions of diversity" to act as change agents in the organization. Partners with HR staff to initiate, develop and implement innovative diversity and inclusion training and development programs to accelerate and enhance the awareness and competencies of executives, managers and all colleagues.
Brokers internal partnerships (i.e. community health and well-being, safety net clinics, advocacy, mission, marketing/communications, supply chain, etc.) to align with D&I strategic plan and framework.
Communicates D&I information to the RHM Board at least quarterly to ensure alignment with ministry strategy and ongoing communication.
Partners with leaders in the organization regarding diversity initiatives and their impact on an employees' experience to effect results that promote Trinity Health’s values and vision statement.
Builds relationships and provide expert counseling to various client/groups. Enhances and maintains management commitment through building awareness for the business case of diversity and inclusion, ensuring basic conceptual clarity about diversity and inclusion efforts.
Creates plans to implement diversity and inclusion educational curriculum, strategies and tools throughout the HRMSA to support the successful implementation of the TH D&I Strategic Plan.
Identifies and addresses barriers to the success of diversity through developing educational strategies and initiatives. Assesses opportunities to embed curriculum to support diversity and inclusion within ongoing business and HR processes and initiatives.
Develops and manages diversity and inclusion annual educational curriculum budget.
Serves as senior leader champion for colleagues, leaders and Business Resource Group (BRG) volunteers related to diversity/inclusion programs and issues.
Defines and deploys diversity measures, programs, practices and process changes to ensure the success of diversity and inclusion strategies.
Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations, Trinity Health Integrity and Compliance Program and Code of Conduct, as well as other policies and procedures in order to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical, and professional behavior.LEADERSHIP COMPETENCIES

Bachelor's degree in HR Management, Organizational Behavior, Health Care Administration, Public Health, Business Administration or related field is required. Master's degree in is preferred.
Seven (7) to ten (10) years of experience with proven strategic planning, training facilitation and leadership capacity including at least five (5) years of diversity and inclusion and/or organizational culture related work within a corporation.
Must be able to operate effectively in a collaborative, shared leadership environment.
Must possess a personal presence that is characterized by a sense of honesty, integrity and caring with the ability to inspire and motivate others to promote the philosophy, mission, vision, goals and values of Trinity Health.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written and the interpersonal skills necessary to interface at all levels of the organization.
Strategic planning and project management skills with the demonstrated ability to be successful with framework/strategy implementation.
Vision, creativity and a passion for diversity and inclusion work.
Effective platform and facilitation skills. Must be a change agent, not solely a trainer.PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
Must be able to adapt to frequently changing work priorities, and be able to prioritize and balance the requirements of working with the System Office and Regional Health Ministries.
Must possess good manual dexterity in order to operate a computer keyboard.
Must possess good hearing in order to be effective on extensive telephone conference calls and for in person communication.
Must be able to travel to various Trinity Health sites approximately 30% of the time.
