The Regional Vice President will report directly to the Group President and hold full P&L accountability for ambulatory surgical centers in the Houston market and will provide oversight and relationship management to the physician partners at each facility. Leading a management team of site CEO's / Administrators and staff, the Regional Vice President will be responsible for developing and executing strategic plans, developing new business both organically as well as acquisitively through partnership with development, driving operational efficiency, and ensuring the delivery of high quality clinical services. S/he will lead through growth and change and deliver strong P&L financial results. The Regional Vice President will play a major role in the successful growth aspirations of SCA within the Houston market as the organization enhances its market presence. The successful candidate will ultimately be responsible for the quality of care provided to patients across all ambulatory surgical centers in his / her region, working across support functions including development, sales, clinical, revenue cycle, and managed care.
The Regional Vice President will be a high-energy individual who is able to drive innovation and growth while delivering results in the core business. This leader will convey a sense of urgency to drive issues to closure through actionable, quantitative plans. The Regional Vice President will be business-minded with a core focus on clinical quality, growth, relationship building, and operational efficiency. S/He will quickly grasp the key business drivers at SCA and cost levers to establish accountability within the management team.
The Regional Vice President will have a successful record of developing new and growing existing business relationships. The Regional Vice President is responsible for growing SCA’s revenue and works closely with various SCA resources including business development, managed care, and clinical departments to support growth initiatives and to meet the business needs of the market. The Regional Vice President will provide strategic guidance of new contracts, negotiating and approving agreements as needed.
The Regional Vice President will understand how to successfully operate in an organizationally complex organization. Specifically, the Regional Vice President will demonstrate proven success scaling operations, service line innovation, market expansion and regulatory compliance for sustainable business growth. The Regional Vice President will be equipped to anticipate market changers and drive performance improvement while simultaneously being attentive to financial performance through top line revenue and earnings growth.
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience
- Solid foundation of general management principles and strong financial acumen
- 10+ years in a progressive career within business development, sales, operations and general management (healthcare industry preferred)
- Strategic planning and business development across various markets
- Experience growing and scaling an innovative service-oriented business model
- Operational and strategic experience
- Experience in the high-touch service business with customer experience as one of the primary metrics for success
- Experience motivating and developing people along with excellent relationship-building skills
- Experience in healthcare services, ambulatory care, integrated delivery systems and/or physician practice management
