Coordinates quality of education delivered within the organization through collaboration with nursing staff, physicians and other health professionals to enhance continuum of care and promote health education for patients, families, employees, as well as consumers. Repsonsible for administering new nurse residency programs and managing online data bases for nursing education. Participates in Shared Governance committees related to education and quality. Works closely with clinical directors and the director of the education dept for education needs of all staff.
Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
BSN or equivalent combination of education, training and 3-5 years of current acute care hospital experience is required.
MSN or M.Ed. preferred.
Current demonstrated knowledge and skill with 3-5 years experience in areas of responsibility.
Experience in curriculum development and principles of teaching are necessary.
Licensed and currently registered in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Current AHA Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider.
Requires ACLS, PALS.
