Research Survey Analyst - Washington, DC

Advisory Board Survey Solutions (ABSS) is a full-service survey team which provides survey design, analysis, and results delivery. ABSS focuses on connecting members’ employee and provider survey data with actionable, proven best practices through a best-in-class technology platform, dedicated advisor support and intuitive action planning templates. This unique program is one of the fastest growing areas within Advisory Board Research. This team also includes an internal facing arm, known as SPA (Survey Performance and Analytics). SPA is comprised of the business analyst team of ABSS and conducts all survey work within Advisory Board and the organization at large (including Consulting and Optum Advisory Services). These firm-based projects include market research, consumer surveys, internal firm surveys, and client opinion surveys.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop expertise over multiple survey research products for U.S. and International members

  • Build Excel-based research reports and design custom surveys on a range of topics across healthcare

  • Analyze raw data to visualize organizational trends and utilize statistical methods to generate insights

  • Create custom reports for members using results reporting site and data analysis software

  • Administer and act as content expert for comprehensive engagement databases composed of detailed opinion, organizational structure and demographic information; create, update and query databases

  • Provide analytic expertise to members

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Use of any of the following analytical tools:

    • Excel

    • SQL

    • R

    • Python

    • Stata

    • Other

  • Experience managing multiple projects or clients

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Significant interest in working with and extracting insights from survey data

  • Strong quantitative, analytic and logical reasoning skills 

  • Technical aptitude for learning new skills / technologies

  • Ability to consistently meet deadlines and maintain focus

  • Service ethic for both internal and external customers

  • Ability to communicate with clients and team members both written and orally

  • Experience with survey design or survey methodology

  • Experience in the healthcare industry

  • Excellent academic record

  • Superior oral and written communications skills, strong attention to detail
