In accordance with the Mission and Guiding Behaviors; the Respiratory Assistant functions as a performance level respiratory therapist in providing therapeutic procedures and diagnostic testing to the chronically and acutely ill patients requiring respiratory procedures.

Responsibilities   

  • Creates a caring and healing environment that keeps the patient and family at the center of care
  • Ensures an environment of patient safety, promotes evidence-based practice and quality initiatives and exhibits professionalism

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Enrolled in, and in good standing in a formal respiratory care educational program.
  • Maintains a current  Limited Permit from the Ohio Respiratory Care Board.  Verification of licensure will be maintained throughout employment.
  • Successful completed clinical practicum in all aspects of respiratory therapy floor care
  • Maintains a current BLS certification.
