RVP of Sales, Key Accounts - West Region

Sales leadership position responsible for achieving revenue and profitability objective for the Key Accounts Segments in the West Region. Indirect responsibility for the sales staff in the region and managing the distribution of all the company's products and services. Develops annual region business plan to meet each of Key Accounts health plan's membership, revenue and profitability objectives in the region.


If you are located in the West Region, you will have the flexibility to telecommute* as you take on some tough challenges.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Designs and implements sales strategies for all products for the Key Accounts markets

  • Sub-segments to support health plans, business plans and achieves regional goals

  • Implements the region’s market sales process to support each health plan's business plans in the market segment and establishes management systems to monitor the sales process

  • Develops best practices and works to implement those based on local market conditions

  • Recruits, develops, maintains and organizes the sales force with an emphasis on sales management

  • Develops long-term strategic sales directions for the region and provides input for Key Accounts markets

  • Business Savvy

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience working with key accounts/middle market products and services in the medical benefits insurance industry

  • Demonstrates a successful history of sales to brokers and consultants in the managed health care industry

  • Possesses a strong track record in results-oriented, sales environment

  • Demonstrates experience in full-range health care products, including but not limited to HMO, POS, PPO, Indemnity and specialty products

  • Possesses solid knowledge of health care systems and financing approaches and demonstrates the ability to apply it in developing local sales strategies

  • 30% travel as required

  • State Life and Health Insurance License  

Preferred Qualifications:


  • 5+ years of management experience, including the ability to create a strong and aggressive sales culture throughout the organization
  • Bachelor’s Degree
