We are gearing up for the aging Baby Boomer population and need you to use your creativity, innovation, experience and talents to grow strategic partnerships in South Los Angeles.  We want an out of the box thinker as this soon to be 65 population is tech savvy and active!  You'll need to build strategic partnerships with influencers on a large scale; these could be banks, financial planners, attorneys, professional organizations etc.  Spending approximately 75% of your time in the field, additional key responsibilities are to effectively manage and develop the area sales team (all channels). If you have gone through an industry transformation and are ready to bring that knowledge to a Fortune 6 organization, we need you! 


If you are located in a commutable distance to the Los Angeles, CA M&R office, you will have the flexibility to telecommute* as you take on some tough challenges.


Primary Responsibilities:  

  • Ensures membership goals are met primarily through the acquisition of new members but also through effectively and efficiently managing sales-related member migration/retention programs in a market.  

  • Manages acquisition cost, investments and spend by appropriately allocating and managing fixed and variable costs associated with staff, marketing, community programs, etc.  

  • Proactively develops and execute strategic, comprehensive sales business plan for market that will be used to achieve/exceed sales goal; revises plans and strategies as dictated by market changes, sales results and other factors.

  • Establishing relationships with community-based organizations,  Medical Groups/Providers and distribution channels  to generate business.

  • Business development – identify, pursue , create the strategy and execute on new business opportunities 

  • Ensure staff adheres to selling guidelines associated with Medicare regulations, partner expectations and company policies and procedures.

  • Providing daily, weekly and monthly reporting. 

  • Tracking lead activity and dividing supplied leads amongst the team.

Required Qualifications:

  • Previous sales management experience

  • 5 + years sales/business development experience  creating a strategy and developing a market, with demonstrated ability to consistently achieve assigned sales/growth targets 


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with Medicare products and consumers

  • Health and Life Insurance license must be obtained and maintained as required by state law

  • Knowledge of CMS regulations and standards
