Job Description

The Individual Field Sales Professional 2 makes sales presentations to potential qualified Medicare participants at their homes, doctors' offices, etc. using approved governmental guidelines. Initiates sales opportunities with seniors--individually or in groups--to sell individual health plan policies. Makes on-site presentations to prospective seniors or senior groups to increase enrollment. Qualifies prospects on site and closes sale if possible, otherwise, refers to inside sales for follow-up. Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas. Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed. Follows established guidelines/procedures.


Build the relationships needed to grow Medicare Advantage patient base –30%

Builds and maintains productive relationships with insurance brokers and agents

Develop relationship with community organizations (e.g. senior centers, senior communities,

churches and other community organizations representing or supporting the senior

community) interested in referring seniors to senior focused primary care

Lead, coach and develop team of Patient Relations Specialists leading patient growth and

promotes the Primary Care Clinics –30%

Builds, manages, and mentors a successful team of Patient Relations Specialists and other

resources as assigned. Continuously monitors and managed individual performance taking

appropriately steps to achieve needed individual and group performance.

Collaborate with other leaders to create and deliver programs and events (both inside and

outside of the clinics) designed to support targeted relationships and specifically draw

prospective seniors into the centers.

Interact with prospective and existing primary care patients to help them become familiar with our medical centers, staff, services and events

Develop and implement local growth and retention plans for assigned territory of medical

centers and maintain local market budget

Deliver results against assigned activity and patient / plan growth targets

Track and maintain event, lead and sales activity data and provides timely and accurate

reporting of sales efforts

Ensures meet and greet tours are conducted with appropriate frequency at all clinics in a

manner that promotes the clinics and primary care physicians

Ensures team is conducting follow ups with prospects and “closes” opportunities to acquire

new patients

Conducts tours at center, act as tour ambassador, if needed

Works collaboratively with center leadership and clinicians to provide superior customer


Creates and Distributes Monthly calendar of Community Events to all key stakeholders

Prepares and Submits weekly tracking reports – ROI

Works in partnership with Wellness Center to promotes and leverages activities in the

community to increase tours to the centers

Attends and leads local sales and marketing meetings and representative sales leader for the

market at CDO organized meetings and events related to sales and marketing.

Partner with marketing team, operations team and key stakeholders, through constant

coordination and updates of progress of growth initiatives and expand market outreach

Presents Events – Differentiating Primary Care Clinics through great presentations in Market –


Create and deliver presentations designed to support relationships that produce leads and

draw senior prospects into the clinics for tours.

Conduct individual and group presentations discussing the advantages senior focused primary


Secures Events at Senior Organizations within the communities we serve

Identifies sponsorship opportunities – large scale events and audiences, Locally and Regionally

Identifies opportunities to hold table top events

Plans, promotes and launches Retention Events

Plans, promotes and launches Grand Opening Events

Plans, promotes and launches Physician Meet and Greets events, lectures and other special


Procures lecture opportunities

Submits sponsorship/event requests for approval

Submits sponsorship ad deadlines

Prepares community event flyers and submits for printing

Procures presenters from the medical center

Ensures that COI are submitted for events as required

Ensures city permits are submitted for center events, as required

Participates in Wellness activities, if needed

Purchases event setup materials, as appropriate

Manages assigned monthly events budget

Ensures events logistics are prepared – setup and tear down

Ensures the Event Presentation Standards setup by department are followed

Documents, through photos, events and participation

Completes General Assignments –20%

Ensures strong communication across all channels/stakeholders

Ensures centers have marketing collateral materials

Identifies advertising opportunities in the markets

Works on Special community projects, as assigned

Ensures corporate initiatives are properly implemented at the center level

Shares Best Practices with team

Prepares yearly event planning report

Other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Medicare industry
  • Develop and exhibit superior knowledge of Medicare, specifically Medicare Advantage
  • Bilingual with the ability to speak, read and write without limitations or assistance
