The Senior Business Systems Analysis Professional performs analysis of business, process and user needs, documentation of requirements, cost/benefit analysis and translation into proper system requirement specifications. The Senior Business Systems Analysis Professional work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.


The Senior Business Systems Analysis Professional formulates and defines systems and objectives based on both user needs and a good understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements. Devises or modifies procedures and processes to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results. Validates benefits achieved from solution implementation. Begins to influence department’s strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.


  • Partner with Retail Sales Leaders, operations teams, subject matter experts, training, and IT Teams to develop and deploy continuous improvement initiatives across the organization
  • Cultivate relationships with multiple internal Business and IT partners
  • Initiate and facilitate meetings and focus groups with stakeholders to identify, document, and prioritize business technology needs that align with department deliverables and organizational goals
  • Capture business requirements in Agile user stories, process models, and master business rule documents
  • Champion the customer by accurately representing their reporting needs in the requirements, development, and testing phases of each project
  • Implement Change Management processes as needed to maintain accurate requirements documentation
  • Provide training or guidance to end users and stakeholders as reporting solutions are developed or enhanced

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Prior business consulting experience with requirements gathering
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, PPT
  • Demonstrated experience with Agile Methodologies
  • System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) experience
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication, meeting facilitation, negotiation, and problem solving skills
  • Solid change management and documentation skills
  • Ability to work with project stakeholders and remote teams at all levels in the organization in a collaborative, team environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Six Sigma, Agile Practitioner, or Project Management Professional
  • Experience with T-SQL or PL-SQL
  • Experience with QlikView
    Experience with Visio
  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration or a related field
