1.      Ensures that the Community facilities are maintained in even better shape than when they were delivered.

2.      Maximize the utilization of the Erickson Living Communities Corrective and Preventive Maintenance Work.

3.      Develop, implement and monitor a “Cost Savings Program” that works in conjunction with the Erickson Living Communities building control system.

4.      Ensure that plumbing, electrical, heating and cooling systems are operating at peak efficiency for each level of demand.

5.      Ensure that maintenance, engineering and grounds employees receive training so that each employee has full understanding of equipment and systems that they will be operating and maintaining.

6.      Ensure that the Communities facilities are in compliance with established federal, state and local regulations and communicate with regulatory/licensing agency representative as required.

7.      Develop the annual budget for Maintenance, Engineering and Grounds.

8.      Review monthly financial statements for accuracy and be ready to explain significant variances between actual and budgeted results.

9.      Ensure that Maintenance, Engineering and Grounds remain good stewards of our financial resources by ensuring that value is added when costs are incurred, and that assets are secure and well maintained.

The manager must have well-developed leadership and management skills.  Must be good communicator, a strong team player, a person adept at developing relationships and earning others trust, and a person who strongly cares for others well-being.  They also must be able to train, coach and mentor security/emergency services personnel to effectively carry out their job responsibilities.




College degree required in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Sciences or a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in a Facilities Management and supervising staff capacity with a strengths in Mechanical, Electrical,  Life Safety and Fire Protections Systems.  Health care experience is a plus with strengths in the Environment of Care.



Supervises the engineering, maintenance and grounds staff.





A CPMM certification is required or the ability to obtain the certification within one year of hire,  A CPE is preferred. State licensing/certification may be required.
