This role will be part of a Finance team that supports UnitedHealthcare Clinical Services - Population Health Management. An organization that partners with providers to make sure our members receive the best care possible.  
 
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Develop, enhance and manage all aspects of financial planning, budgeting and forecasting for selling, general and administrative expenses
  • Collaborate with business leaders on cost drivers and assumptions
  • Develop, perform and manage the analyses of business and financial metrics as well as performance measures for expenses
  • Develop and maintain financial reports to clearly communicate actual results, forecasted performance, and variances to plan, forecast and budget for expenses
  • Understand and incorporate industry specific metrics into reports to highlight relevant trends and support fact-based business decisions
  • Work closely with the business  to develop,  recommend and establish strategies, plans, and processes to improve profitability and cost efficiencies
  • Produce clear, well-formatted reports that communicate a clear, compelling message for their stakeholders


Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or equivalent degree
  • 3+ years of financial or accounting experience
  • Knowledge of fundamental financial concepts & procedures
  • Financial acumen
  • Experience in trend / variance analysis
  • Ability to work collaboratively and influence across a matrix environment
  • Advanced level of proficiency with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience using Hyperion Smartview/Essbase and/or PeopleSoft Financials
  • Experience in the Healthcare Industry
  • Strong interpersonal & communication skills (written & verbal)
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a high paced environment
