We are seeking a Senior IT Project Consultant for our Basking Ridge, NJ location. Responsible for coordination and completion of projects across various functional areas; providing subject matter expertise in areas including project scope definition, risk identification, project methodology, resource allocation, facilitation, and other areas of expertise based on established project management techniques; presenting to the management on project updates, project cycle, and expected results; ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in scope; managing vendor and service providers to define project scope and performance expectations; leading the agile transformation at the team level and for the successful execution of one or more teams to support the delivery of strategic technology products; providing leadership, direction, and coaching to the team(s) to encourage adoption of agile principles and practices, avoiding anti-patterns, and empowering the team to become self-directed and self-managing; facilitating execution without coercion, assigning, or dictating work and removing impediments, or assisting the team in doing so, to allow the team to achieve their sprint and/or Program Increment objectives; and establishing a trusting and safe team environment where problems can be addressed without blame or judgment with a focus on problem solving, and fostering a "learn by doing" environment.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or a related field.
- 5 years related progressive, post-baccalaureate experience.
- Must also have 12 months demonstrated ability with each of the following: 1) Working as an Agile/SAFE Agile/Release Training Engineer; 2) IT source system flows to allow mitigation of issues/risks related to the managed projects; 3) Project roadmap presentation skills/Develop a WBS (work breakdown structure); 4) Controlling resources and budgeting using PPM Optics/Clarity; and 5) Manages and controls the project scope, time, risks/issues, and quality using Agile Central, and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM). Will supervise three team members. Employer will accept experience gained concurrently.
