  We are seeking an experienced marketing professional to join our Horsham, PA office as a Senior Marketing Specialist for the AARP Medicare Supplement product sold through the Distribution Channel.  This highly visible position offers excellent growth potential within a Fortune 100 healthcare organization. The hired individual will have the opportunity to lead a team in supporting both business-to-business and business-to-consumer marketing activities for employer group, field agent and eAlliance exchange distribution channels.  The position entails supporting the development of enrollment and marketing materials for licensed sales agents, agencies and brokers (aka sales distribution) located in all U.S. states and territories. Insurance Solutions provides AARP Medicare Supplement Insurance Plans to AARP members.   The company is part of UnitedHealthcare Medicare and Retirement, a segment of the UnitedHealth Group businesses dedicated to improving the health and well-being of Americans ages 50 and older.   Primary Responsibilities:
  • Collaborates with product development, sales directors, account management and internal/external parties to develop and implement strategies
  • Ensure channel enrollment materials provide product highlights and features alongside compliant legal pieces
  • Develop sales and marketing collateral/tools to educate and promote the product for all distribution channels to drive increased sales activity
  • Collaborate with departments to continue developing and evaluating an omni-channel strategy
  • Assess key markets and industry trends and create a plan to capitalize on opportunities
  • Create, collect and elicit innovative ideas from various constituents
  • Work with market research team in capturing key data that provides us insights that will be the gauge on how well we are doing and what we need to improve
  • Support development of new business opportunities in the promotion of the AARP Medicare Supplement product offering
  • Evaluate and participate in initiatives and projects in support of the Agent, Group and eAlliance channel and new business activities
  • Measure effectiveness of marketing campaigns and adjust strategies based on those results
  • Interface with advertising agencies to deliver creative assignments

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Communications, or related field
  • 5+ years of marketing experience within a matrix organization
  • 5+ years’ experience demonstrating organization skills
  • 5+ years’ experience managing and prioritizing several deliverables
  • 5+ years’ experience in meeting or exceeding sales promotion/marketing targets
  • 5+ years’ experience influencing and collaborating with others
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% domestically

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in the healthcare or insurance industries
