Description

The Senior Product Management Professional leads or coordinates cross-functional project/program teams from design to delivery of fully-developed products that are ready for customer use. The Senior Product Management Professional work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

Description

We are looking for a Senior Product Management Professional with a strong mobile background to lead Humana’s flagship native mobile application.  This individual will work in close collaboration with a product designer and team of developers to manage the entire lifecycle of features from discovery to adoption and optimization all while fostering an iterative approach driven by user feedback.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead or coordinate cross-functional project/program teams from design to delivery of fully-developed products that are ready for consumer use
  • Lead the product with a human-centered approach
  • Advocate for best in class mobile experience
  • Leads a lean agile development team leveraging the Pivotal Lab model
  • Investigates facts and develops solutions to problems during the design and planning phases
  • Facilitate all user acceptance testing and coordinate with business user acceptance testing when applicable
  • Partner with analytics teams to compile and understand data and support your team with actionable insights.
  • Understand complex technical challenges and synthesize conversations for non-technical stakeholders
  • Write user stories incrementally to reflect changing priorities and product evolution
  • Prioritize development team work and feature backlog
  • Make any/all day-to-day product decisions to keep the product moving forward
  • Determine release schedule based on product readiness and need for user feedback
  • Foster a learning environment

               

Required Skills / Experiences 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong familiarity with iOS and Android operating systems
  • Three years of Product Management experience (five years is ideal)
  • Experience with two of the following: lean startup methodologies, agile development methodologies, working directly with clients 
  • Comfortable with grey areas
  • Experience shipping successful products, including defining vision, strategy, outcome-driven product roadmaps and creating and managing backlogs
  • Experience articulating and testing product hypotheses
  • Demonstrated ability to define and track KPIs and other measurable success criteria
  • Deep user empathy and strong user experience sensibilities
  • Experience closely collaborating with engineers and designers as part of small co-located teams
  • Demonstrated ability to get things done in a rapidly changing environment
  • Demonstrated ability to influence decision making in different contexts
  • Interest and adept in coaching others
  • Ability to break down complex problems into actionable steps
  • Ability to facilitate collaborative decision-making in a workshop context 
  • Ability to quickly understand a specific client domain and identify the trends and opportunities in that space
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to adapt your communication style for the audience
  • Ability to facilitate collaborative decision-making in a workshop context

Preferred Skills / Experiences 

  • Experience in working in the Pivotal Lab development model
  • Experience with both lean startup methodologies and agile development methodologies
  • Experience working directly with clients and leading projects
  • Experience shipping both new products as well as improving upon existing ones
  • Experience leading or supporting user research
